Foggia|Salvas

Roger Foggia and Marie-Josée Salvas are both classically trained in the apprenticeship tradition.

Marie-Josée degreed in handbag making at the Centre Des Métiers du Cuir de Montreal before moving to the south of France to apprentice in the rare craft of Gainerie de Mobilier, the wrapping of furniture with leather. Highly regarded in Japan and throughout Europe, this artistic hand crafted work has only recently been discovered in the United States. Marie-Josée founded her Montreal studio, Klass & Co in 2000 and sold her work through showrooms in New York, Boston, and Toronto before teaming with Foggia in 2008 to create Foggia | Salvas – Interior Specialist.

Roger trained first with his father, Demetrio Foggia, an Italian immigrant craftsman from the old school tradition. Opening his own shop in 1978, there were numerous collaborations with notable Designers and Architects that contributed to his development as a stylist. Entirely self-taught, hand drawing has been an integral part of his design and build process. 30 years of innovative design and craft have compiled a body of work that is truly unique in the industry.
